POSITION SUMMARY

You love startups. You live and breath startups. You are obsessed with TechCrunch, GigaOm, Twitter and AngelList. You are a young hustler who loves helping startups and ecosystems grow. Highly entrepreneurial candidate, better if you cut your teeth in product development/management. Curious and internationally focused. You speak several languages. This is an incredible opportunity to get your feet in both the startup and investments world.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Startups evaluation 

  • support in the evaluation of projects: product, team, market
  • ability to manage and filter high amount of data
  • scout, filter and identify the major stakeholders in target markets
  • ability to tap into existing network of subject matter experts
  • report deal flow evaluation in a timely manner

Deal flow development

  • ability to scout the most innovative startups in various geos/verticals
  • knowledge of the main incubators/accelerators in the world
  • attending and monitoring startup demo days


QUALIFICATIONS

Skills

  • Top graduate with Engineering / Management background.
  • Demonstrated passion for startup and innovation.
  • Prior entrepreneurial experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication and meeting facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to relate to and communicate with diverse audiences and communities.
  • You have built products before.
  • Fluency in at least 2 languages, extra points if you lived abroad

Channel Development

  • define aggressive market development focus and objectives
  • own a go-to-market strategy, maximizing Foundation visibility and returns
  • scout, filter and identify the major stakeholders in target markets
  • support in the creation of marketing and communication material
  • support in the evaluation of partners, projects, candidates
  • support with the planning and organization of all programs organized by the Foundation

Negotiation skills

  • ability to engage, follow up and bring a deal to a close
  • contract negotiation, legal terms, payments
  • building trustworthy, long term relationships

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills

  • Top graduate with Engineering / Management background.
  • Demonstrated passion for startup and innovation.
  • Prior entrepreneurial experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in starting and implementing a business development plan from scratch.

  • English mother tongue (or equivalent). Other languages highly appreciated (particularly Portuguese, Korean, Arabic).
