POSITION SUMMARY

You love startups. You live and breath startups. You are obsessed with TechCrunch, GigaOm, Twitter and AngelList. You are a young hustler who loves helping startups and ecosystems grow. Highly entrepreneurial candidate, better if you cut your teeth in product development/management. Curious and internationally focused. You speak several languages. You are also comfortable dealing with senior management of large corporations. You also a natural interpersonal attitude, and you like building partnerships. Lastly, you love coordinating content for top tech events. This is an incredible opportunity to get your feet in both the startup and investment world of Silicon Valley.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Startups evaluation 

  • support in the evaluation of projects: product, team, market
  • ability to manage and filter high amount of data
  • scout, filter and identify the major stakeholders in target markets
  • ability to tap into existing network of subject matter experts
  • report deal flow evaluation in a timely manner
  • understand the intricacy of corporate environments and know how to navigate

Deal flow development

  • ability to scout the most innovative startups in various geos/verticals
  • knowledge of the main incubators/accelerators in the world
  • attending and monitoring startup demo days

Program/event management

  • ability to coordinate a vast amount of partners and resources (internal / external)
  • project management: keeping track of all tasks and coordinate all resources
  • content marketing: creation of collateral for sponsorships, partners, speakers and attendees
  • Event content: understand market trends and key stakeholders. Suggest topics and speakers


QUALIFICATIONS

Skills

  • Top graduate with Engineering / Management background.
  • Demonstrated passion for startup and innovation.
  • Prior entrepreneurial experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication and meeting facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to relate to and communicate with diverse audiences and communities.
  • You have built products before.
  • Fluency in at least 2 languages, extra points if you lived abroad
  • You are familiar with the startup ecosystem of Silicon Valley, in particular with the EU startup community

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (EU)

POSITION SUMMARY

Highly entrepreneurial candidate, with min 2-3 years experience in channel / business / market development. Natural interpersonal attitude, door opener, results oriented. Passionate about startup world and the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems around the world. Comfortable with the world of large corporations, in particular with their Innovation departments, where you have preexisting senior level connections. Curious and internationally focused.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Channel Development

  • define aggressive market development focus and objectives
  • own a go-to-market strategy, maximizing visibility and returns
  • scout, filter and identify the major stakeholders in target markets
  • support in the creation of marketing and communication material

  • support with the planning and organization of all programs organized by MTB

Negotiation skills

  • ability to engage, follow up and bring a deal to a close

QUALIFICATIONS
