Giulio Brugnaro

Giulio Brugnaro is an architect, design technologist and researcher exploring how emerging technologies empower design innovation and sustainable practices. He recently got awarded a PhD degree from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College of London with research encompassing the fields of robotic fabrication and applied machine learning for design-to-production workflows, conducted as part of the Innochain Research Network (EU H2020, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions). Previously, he received a B.Arch. in Architectural Sciences at IUAV University of Venice and an M.Sc. in Integrative Technologies and Architectural Design Research at the University of Stuttgart. After completing his research studies, he moved to San Francisco thanks to a Fulbright Fellowship focused on open innovation and entrepreneurship. There, he joined 500 Startups, one of the leading accelerators and most active venture capital firms globally, as a Venture Data Analyst. 

Currently, he coordinates the research and development activities at Mind the Bridge, an innovation advisory firm based in the US and Europe, where he leads a group of talented people focused on the data-driven exploration of emerging technologies and innovation ecosystems worldwide.
