Warming up the Dragon in New York City!

On September 19-21 KISED (Korean Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurial Development), in collaboration with us, will be hosting a Korean-American Startup Summit at the new Pier 17.As part of the Summit, on Wednesday September 21st, we will host a Korean Scaleup Demo Day, as the final event of a 2-month long Acceleration and Global Market Entry program.

The Korean Institute aims to contribute to the development of the national economy through the growth of startup businesses and job opportunities and promote the technology based startups of future entrepreneurs by cultivating entrepreneurial spirit. In this perspective, K-Startup Center Program in New York City was designed to be a 2 months of educational sessions, business development meetings, company visits, and a big demo day at the end of it

Participant companies come from a range of innovative solutions, from blockchain health tech to AI-embedded semiconductors, all with a single focused goal of entering the US market.

Since the first day, the program has been hosting sessions on how to present financials to US investors, US vs Korean business culture, and pitches from the companies. Invited leaders from the industry have been helping our Korean colleagues to understand how to interpret UX and UI to successfully approach the US market sensibility: we all know how much adapting work ethics, language, and experience is critical for foreign companies when approaching a new market. During the Demo Day, the 15 Korean startups  will pitch their ventures to investors, partners, and press. The event will be graciously attended by the Korean Minister of Startups and SME, as well as a delegation of dignitaries.

For those who are interested, this is the Eventbrite link to register.

See you there! Excited to see how these 2 months of training and sessions have enabled and empowered these startups to enter the US market with winning confidence and zeal.
