Large corporations are increasing their efforts to find innovation and disruptive technologies in the world’s most relevant technology hotspots, and in this search they are branching out to innovation ecosystems to engage with the technology and talent there.
To this end, Europe is seriously looking into using Israel as an innovation powerhouse. This report represents our effort to map these activities by European corporations in Israel.
We’ve tracked 30+ large European companies that have an innovation corporate outpost in Israel, and nearly half were founded in the last 5 years since 2013.
This report is a preliminary study with the goal of validating data and finding out who’s who in the Israeli ecosystem.
We are following the approach set in the previous year with our Silicon Valley Innovation Outpost Report, which has the same goal but for a different region. Create a forum for these innovative corporate players to meet each other and to share their objectives with the local entrepreneurial community.
Initiatives such as Startup Europe Comes to Israel (SEC2IL) provide a natural platform where information and business opportunities can flow freely across the regions.
This research and the directory that is attached to that is an attempt to “open source” this effort to the relevant community.
