About the Role
At Mind the Bridge, we are focused on developing software products to enable startups, corporates, institutions, and investors to make innovation happen. We are now looking for a passionate and dedicated Front end Developer to support us in this journey by playing a leading role in extending and structuring our capabilities, infrastructure, and tools.
Key Responsabilities
  • Developing user-facing applications using Vue.js
  • Developing backend solutions using Node.js and Google Cloud Functions
  • Building modular and reusable components and libraries
  • Optimizing applications for performance
  • Implementing automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows
  • Staying up-to-date with all recent developments in the JavaScript, Vue.js, Google Cloud space
  • Keeping an eye on security updates and issues found and all project dependencies
  • Proposing any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and development best practices, including taking an active role in identifying the tooling and infrastructure needs of the company.

Qualifications
Technical Skills

  • English language proficiency (Italian, Spanish are nice to have)
  • Highly proficient in JavaScript (including modern ES6+ syntax and features)
  • Highly proficient in HTML5, CSS3
  • Highly proficient with Vue.js framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM.
  • Highly Proficient in Node.js
  • Proficient in Google Cloud Platform / Firebase
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Firestore, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Proficient in using Git as a control system
  • Skilled in UX/UI Development
  • Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful API
  • Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code.

Soft Skills

  • Able to mentor and work together with junior developers
  • Able to understand business needs and translate them into features
  • Great at interacting with non-technical team members and users to help gather feedback and improvements
  • Proactive in identifying problems (and solving them)
  • Like to give and receive feedback from team members
  • Able to prioritize tasks and act on sudden deadlines
  • Occasionally interested in beers after office hours 😀

We have a cool office in Barcelona, but you can work from anywhere (in compatible time zones). To get to know you better, we would like you to spend the first 3-4 months with the rest of the team in Barcelona.
