In this Mind the Chat Marco Marinucci sits down with Giovanni Bertolino, Head of e-Mobility USA and Canada – Enel X, where he leads the team focused on growing the company’s residential and commercial smart charging business. Previously, he served as Vice President of Business Development in North and Central America for Enel’s Global Thermal Business Line.

Focus of the Chat is the present and future of Electrified Mobility. What are the current market forces, where is the market going? What’s happening in the last-mile mobility (E-scooters, E-bikes). Is hydrogen an option for mobility? We’ll also talk about the new EnelX JuiceEco launch and its deal with Uber.

Bertolino held additional prior roles within Enel, including Head of Industrial Development of Enel Global Thermal Generation Business line, Board Member of Enel Russia PJSC, Director of Regulatory Affairs, and of Carbon Regulation and Climate Change, as well as leadership roles in the International Emission Trading Association (IETA), the European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET), and EURELECTRIC (Union of the Electricity Industry).

Before joining Enel in 2010, Giovanni was Senior Manager in McKinsey and Company, where he worked mainly with European companies in the energy sector. An economist by training, he holds an MBA from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
