2013 began with another passionate Startup School class. It’s always a huge satisfaction for all of us to see the school participant’s improvement throughout the 3 weeks. Every time, on the last day we get that feeling that day 1 was aaages ago. They were all able to fully absorb the feedbacks they got and started moving forward from there. We can see the evolution in their projects and point of views but also in the awareness in what they can do and how they can do it.
Their discussions, their attitude, impressions, beliefs, energy and passion significantly changed. But  we can’t certainly take all the credit for it; a huge part is the Silicon Valley experience, the environment that lets you really believe that dreams do come true with hard work. In addition, in only 3 weeks the participants were able to develop great friendships where collaboration and trust was value number one.

We had many inspiring modules from our motivating mentors and speakers and we definitely enjoyed some really good times all together.

Our school trips led us to Berkeley Lab to check out what all the nobel prizes were all about, and Wow, it’s pretty clear to us now! We also visited two big companies from the Valley: Zynga and Dropbox and were hosted by the Italian General Consul for a great (and super informal, totally Silicon Valley style) chat in their breathtaking building and had real italian coffee with Consul Mauro Battocchi!

To dive even more in the US culture we went to see a baseball game , the San Francisco Giants sadly lost, but hey,  it definitely was an interesting experience (especially the all drinking beer and eating hot dogs part). One of the last nights our beloved Lu invited us all for dinner and cooked a yummy and authentic Carbonara (what do you expect from truly Roman chef?)..a lot of pasta and many many “arrivederci” toasts!

The departure time has now come for most of the participants, so ,while saying goodbye with a small tear, we want to thank you for all the energy you gave us. Good luck guys and welcome to the Mind the Bridge family! Daje tutta!!
