Startups, enthusiasm, constructive feedbacks, evaluable speakers.. these are the ingredients for a successful event!
Yesterday in Pavia, the MtB Italy Tour recreated for a day the atmosphere of Silicon Valley, involving startups, entrepreneurs and investors, students, Ph.Ds and whoever was interested in building its own business based on an innovative idea.

The introductions of the Mayor of Pavia, and of Margherita Balconi and Annalisa Tocchio, respectively the President of Polo Tecnologico and the President of Gruppo Giovani, Unione degli industriali della Provincia di Pavia, which opened the event, immediately thrown us into the spirit of the day: helping to create a new generation of Italian entrepreneurs.

How? Discovering and nurturing the Italian Talents!
Thus, as it usually happens in Silicon Valley, we invited six startups to present their innovative business idea, in front of a panel of experienced investors and entrepreneurs. Let’s discover them..

Among the most early stage entrepreneurial ideas, Linksten – a mobile application that reproduces a short jingle during the idle time that occurs while opening a link, THE WHITE RABBIT that provides innovative solutions for business, education, healthcare, home and social needs through touchscreen applications and EasyGoing an efficient multi-platform (social web, website, SMS, mobile app, telephone) management system for car pooling. The projects presented gave wide space to comments, feedback and point of reflections that for sure will help these startups to focus more on their business and to improve their business idea.

Danmax Tech Solutions, tpenso and iLIKE.TV, looked more advanced since they had already a prototype or a product ready to be sold. While Danmax Tech Solutions produces a universal charger in the wall’s outlet, within an electrical box with a retractable wire that has on its end a micro-usb head for phones, pda and future cameras, iLIKE.TV arouse a lot of interest from the investors. Structured as a web tv channel on cross-media social platforms, it allows users to take part to the shows, influence and interact with them via a second screen.

But the startup that attracted more the attention of Tommaso Mazzocchi was tpenso with the product Margerita Salvadita, an innovative devices that reduces the risk of needlestick injury from syringes. The lucky team received a 3 months sponsorship to participate to the Gym, the mentorship program held @ Pier 38 in San Francisco that starting this year is open to all startups who wants to make the leap.

Who’s next? We will discover it next Wednesday in Genova!

Stay tuned!
