Will they be the next EU Unicorn?

The world’s leading job marketplace and e-recruitment platform announced its most recent funding hit a $42 million Series B round.

Skype founder Niklas Zennström led the latest funding round of Jobandtalent with his VC firm Atomico on June 13, 2016. Zennström believes that Jobandtalent’s unique technology and algorithm to match workers with job opportunities in a Tinder-like interaction will make it scale up fast.

Jobandtalent’s mission is to simplify the recruitment process for candidates, to help businesses – especially SMEs – hire the right talent, and to change the job market worldwide. The Spanish serial entrepreneurs, Juan Urdiales and Felipe Navío, lately shifted their focus on SMEs – mainly in sectors like hospitality, sales, logistics, administration – in order to solve their pain and target the real opportunity of offering staff management services, by generating employment contracts, managing payroll and dealing with all payments to local tax authorities.

Jobandtalent currently operates in Madrid, Barcelona, Mexico City, Bogota and London. The e-recruitment free-to-use platform aims to accelerate its expansion and further develop its product. It has reached over 10 million users and 150 thousand businesses and it is now one of the most vibrant marketplaces for SMEs and medium sized businesses in the world.

Last year, Mind The Bridge invited Jobandtalent to present their pitch in Silicon Valley in occasion of the Startup Europe Comes to Silicon Valley (SEC2SV) which brings together EU policymakers, top EU scaleups, and leading European corporations aiming to establish relationships with key Silicon Valley stakeholders.

Fifteen scaleups from all over Europe are selected to present at the SEC2SV European Innovation Day (EID) in Mountain View every year. This year Mind The Bridge, in collaboration of EIT Digital, will bring the best of European technology and innovation in the Silicon Valley in the week of September 12-16.

In line with SEC2SV philosophy Jobandtalent successfully created and funded one of today’s most disruptive technologies.

The goal of SEC2SV is to identify and support the EU’s future unicorns and Mind The Bridge is proud to have found one.

Outstanding Jobandtalent!
