All good things come to an end. So it did our second Summer edition of the Startup school. Our 13 students left this weekend after 3 weeks full of modules, presentations, homework, visits, precious feedback and (even more precious) fun!
They all had very different backgrounds and life experiences but they were able in many different ways to exploit these 3 weeks in the most productive way. Among the cool startups that attended the August session, we had two prize-winners (and raising stars of the Italian Startup eco system): Atooma and Reputeka.
But during this month we actually studied and developed 5 more projects, at very different stages: Hosteka, Pie10, InLoo, Rumundu and Factotum.
All these young entrepreneurs are, indeed, brilliant and have helped make these 3 weeks a great experience both for them and for us.
After 2 (mostly didactic) weeks (that indeed included a Giants game + Sausalito and birthday and farewell parties) the last 7 days of their adventure in California began with a touristic weekend all together heading South.
The last week was a busy one. We had, among others, Stefano Bernardi’s, Matteo Fabiano’s and Loris Degioanni’s modules which have surely kept our “audience” entertained.
If that wasn’t enough we visited Google, VMware and the BerkeleyLab (a big thank you to our special and inspiring “guides” Claudio Cherubino, Vittorio Viarengo and Alessandro Ratti). And then, icing on the cake, on Friday we had the final Gym session, during which we saw our students pitching their project s to mentors, guests and investors, followed by a colourful graduation party (animated by our Mr MegaBit Guido Marangoni!).
Today our office is weirdly empty, so our first thought naturally went to our dear new graduates.
Good luck guys and don’t forget to squeeze every last drop out of the lemon!
