MTB in Brussels

On March 26th Mind the Bridge lands in Brussels as part of NET FUTURES 2015, an international conference gathering of over 700 people from all over Europe.

Together with the SEP Investors Forum, we will organize for the first time in Belgium a GYM session, the Mind the Bridge mentorship format we run every Friday afternoon during our Startup School program in San Francisco.
For the record, we call it Gym (Gymnasium), as we see those sessions as an exercise for the entrepreneurs to lift-weights in a “friendly” environment, before going out and fight in the “real world”.

A selected group of four startups (ClouDesire, iShrine, Ojoo and Opentelly) from all over Europe have the opportunity to pitch their projects in front of a group of investors and get mentored. The goal of the Brussels GYM session is not to select the best projects, but rather provide an educational critique, professional feedback, coaching and tailored mentoring. The pitching session is open to the public, so the researchers and wannabe-entrepreneurs in the audience will benefit from the discussion and understand the criteria investors use in choosing companies in which to invest.

Led by our chairman, Alberto Onetti, the startups interact with a group of investors, including Thomas Dupuydt (Venture Portfolio Manager at iMinds), Claudio Giuliano (Founder and CEO of Innogest), Muriel Uytterhaegen (Principal at Gimv) and Luc Kindt (CEO at Leeward Luxembourg).
The best startup will be awarded a full scholarship for the Mind the Bridge Startup School in San Francisco, while the three remaining startups will receive a partial scholarship (dollar value of $2.500/each).
The Mind the Bridge Startup School is a 3-week personalized entrepreneurship program especially tailored to help international participants develop their business model, fully immersed within the ecosystem and culture of Silicon Valley. To date, is has graduated more then 350 entrepreneurs from 15+ countries (the latest batch just graduated last week).

Looking forward to meeting you at the GYM in Brussels!
